At 16 years of age, Makenna Maria says she’d like to be the first Kenyan artist to win a Grammy award.
With looks that strikingly resemble those of her mother (business mogul Esther Passaris), Makenna says she sings about what she basically feels about life and the entire world.
Following in the steps of other young artists like Camp Mulla, Miss Passaris here has already co-written a number of songs working alongside artists Collo and Canibal.
Now we had the chance to meet this young artist who is currently based in the UK where most of her music production is done and she told us about her plan to get other artists to tour with her someday in a movement to help the poor.
Balancing school and a young music career, Makenna’s not performed any of her songs for a crowd and though her music may not be mainstream yet, be among the first to check it out here then let us know what you think.
